Christ Church Community Centre
There was a community leisure centre here for about forty years, but it was replaced by this ultra modern building. It boasts the latest in green credentials with solar panels, ground source heat pumps and the best eco-friendly insulation. Completed in late 2013, the waiting list for users is already lengthy.

Villetts House, Old Town, Swindon
Villetts House in Cricklade Street was built in 1729. In his Studies in the History of Swindon,
John Betjeman wrote that this is the finest house in Swindon.
Grade II* list in 1951, Villetts House is now divided into flats.

Churchyard, Christ Church, Swindon
The church is in Old Town, Swindon and was built in 1851 to a design by Sir George Gilbert Scott. It can be seen from some distance away from south of the town. It replaced the original parish church when that became too small for the growing congregation http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/592421

Former Townsend Solicitors' office, Cricklade Street, Swindon
This fine old building had been empty for some years after the firm of solicitors who had been in occupation moved out to here Image Recently it was acquired by developers who are converting it into residential accommodation. They have attached brass plates either side of the main door... and thereby hangs a tale.
