Corsham railway station (site), Wiltshire
Opened in 1841 by the Great Western Railway on its line from Swindon to Bristol Temple Meads, this station closed in 1965.
View east towards Chippenham and Swindon. The ramp to the former up (towards London) platform can still be clearly seen to the left of the image.

Site of Corsham station, 1989
View eastward, towards Swindon and London: ex-GWR Paddington - Bristol original main line. It is incredible that a station on a trunk line serving a town of some importance - plus the great subterranean armaments depots nearby - was closed even in the 'Beeching' period, but it was, on 4/1/65.
