The Bear, Melksham
The pub at 3 Bath Road has been a Wetherspoon since May 2012. A Google Earth Street View taken in October 2011 shows a derelict building here, with metal sheets protecting windows and doors.

Bath Street shops
This row of local shops is an attractive inter-war development. Before that the old heavy industries of a gas holder station and an iron foundry would have dominated this part of the town.
