Chilbury Lane, little more than a path, runs from High Street and joins a complex of paths that generally lead to Potterne Wick. The village of Potterne is 2 miles south of Devizes. Pilgrims Cottage, number 2 Chilbury Lane, is 16th century in rubblestone with some timber framing and a thatched roof. The cross wing was an addition circa 1980.
