Village shop
The shop and post office is accommodated in an outbuilding of the Lamb inn. Run by the community and opened in 2005. The footpath at the rear of the shop runs to the B3098 road.

In Urchfont
This looks east down the High Street of Urchfont passing by the Lamb Inn. Blackboard Lane comes in from the right, and I am standing on the green as I take this photograph.

Sign for the Lamb Inn
The lamb is of great Christian significance that to the passage in John 1:29 which reads "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sins of the world", thus equating the lamb with Jesus Christ. As a saintly emblem a lamb accompanies John the Baptist, St Agnes, St Catherine, St Genevieve and St Regina.

The Lamb Inn
