Dial House
This substantial residence in West Lavington is situated at the point where the Wessex Ridgeway on Rutts Lane enters the A360 Salisbury/Devizes Road. The name "Dial House" is for obvious reasons that can be explained by looking above the front door lintel.

A walk from West Lavington to the Plain and return [96]
The barn and the house are alongside the A360 road. Seen from the track, a public bridleway. From West Lavington the walk follows the Wessex Ridgeway long distance path up to Littleton Down on Salisbury Plain. Then along the Imber Range Perimeter Path before descending via a byway and a bridleway to the start. About 5½ miles.
