The road to Foxley Corner
From the A342, this turning goes to Foxley Corner and Urchfont. This road, and the turning on the left, just beyond the house, were once the main road. The bend has been straightened.

Old Milestone by the A342, Lydeway, Urchfont parish
Metal plate attached to stone post by the A342, in parish of Urchfont (Kennet District), Lydeway; Froxley Corner opposite Lydeway Garage, at junction of UC road to Urchfont, on grass between path and fence, on West side of road. Burt iron casting, erected by the Devizes (consolidated) turnpike trust in the 19th century.
