This dual carriageway was built to bypass the centre of Chalfont St Peter, and the view was taken from the Chiltern Hill bridge.

Chalfont St Peter: A413 Amersham Road
This is not quite the same view as Image, but from the same bridge in the same direction, and looking straight down the line of the lamp posts. The spring grass cutting along the central reservation and the verges has been completed.

Chalfont St Peter: The White Hart
This pub dates from the 17th century and although it was refaced in the 18th century some of the original structure, such as the brick chimney stack at the far end, still remains. The road is the High Street, once the main A413 road to Amersham, now bypassed by Image The photo was taken a couple of days after St George's Day and the whole town was festooned with flags, albeit some not quite entering into the spirit of things!

Broadway Cinema Plaque at Barclays Bank
This plaque is one of several in the Chalfont St Peter area and is on the Celfunde Inheritance Walk. It shows an image of Market Place with the wording "Broadway cinema and Memorial Hall in the 1920's; they were demolished in the 1960's."
These plaques were erected to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
