Quarry Wood Bisham
Ancient woodland on chalk above the R Thames near Marlow. Once famed for the number of orchid species that grew here, these woodlands were severely damaged by clumsy timber extraction following the great storm of October 1987.

View towards Marlow
From Quarry Wood there is good aerial view of the River Thames and Marlow. Marlow church can be seen prominently Image with the large weir on the Thames above Marlow Lock in front of it. Close to hand is yet more ragwort. That plant seems profuse this year.
