Cookham: The Kings Arms
The Kings Arms is a 17th century former coaching inn on the High Street. There is a photograph of the building from 1883 on the Cookham Community website here http://www.cookham.com/business/kingsarms/index.5.gif where the large name reads "Kings Arms Hotel".

Kings Arms and Cookham Tandoori
Old Cookham today has very little in the way of shops for daily necessities which are found to the west by the station. Clothes shops and restaurants make up a large percentage of the shops in the old village.

School Lane, Cookham
View north-west towards the Moor, with the Crown public house visible in the distance.
The houses on the left have some curious features - pinnacles at eaves level, and cast-iron 'barley-sugar' (spiral) columns to ornament the ground-floor windows.
