Was this a Brewery?
This tower is attached to the Old Bell pub. It looks very much like they might have brewed their own beer here at one time. There could be a few cooking smells in the beer if they tried it now.

There is a sign above the entrance which reads "built 1135" but the entry in British Listed Building says it is a C15 structure modified in the C17, C19 and C20.
