Old Milepost in Burchett's Green Road, Hurley Parish
Cast iron post by the UC road, in parish of Hurley (Windsor and Maidenhead District), Burchett's Green Road; South edge of Burchett's Green, beside speed humps on cleared ground below bushes, on East side of road. Wilder gabled iron casting, erected by the Reading & Hatfield turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : READING / 10 : : HATFIELD / 40 : : MARLOW / 4 : Maker:- : WILDER & SONS / READING : Grade II listed.
