Cheering on Team GB
Spectators begin to go wild as the women's eights heat approaches the stands at the Eton Dorney rowing lake. Team GB were unsuccessful in this event, but were to win a clutch of medals in the rowing regatta.

Paralympic rowing, spectators on a rainy morning
On a morning with some showers of drizzly rain spectators have ponchos, hoods, and also umbrellas (which are lowered during the races). Here single sculler medallists are making a lap of honour. We are in the second row of the main area of seating, there is space for spectators in wheelchairs just in front of us, a few more rows of seating in front of that. The woman in a purple jacket standing near the camera is a volunteer "gamesmaker" who was helping any spectators coming in or out of the stand between races.
