This gate is to the north of the chapel, off Eton High Street and opposite Keats Lane. Keats Lane should probably be Keate's Lane, after Eton's most famous headmaster Dr Keate (1809-1834).

Eton College, lower school
This is the original classroom of 1440. It is still in use as a meeting room today, but not in its original classroom guise where all 70 scholars would have been educated en masse, in this room. The original syllabus was virtually all Latin. Scholars all slept in a long room above this classroom.
