Located at 102 High Street, opposite Eton Square.
A plaque records that the building was erected in 1904 by Eton Urban District Council.

This charming alleyway has a row of separate homes on the right.
The gates are to stop casual passers-by walking up the private courtyard.

Fire mark, 47-49 High Street, Eton, Windsor, Berkshire
The mark dates to the time when buildings had to be seen to have been insured before firefighters would deign to extinguish a fire on the premises. Things have moved on to the point where local fire brigades will put out fires regardless of their insured status assuming, of course, that the firemen aren't on strike. Alleyway at Eton
This interesting narrow alleyway has a Victorian Post Box with vertical letter slot, at the head. It was first installed in 1856 and is still in use!

Fluted Victorian postbox, Eton
Located at the edge of an alley between 46 and 47 High Street. This early design of postbox,
with fluted side and vertical flap for letters, dates from 1856.
The VR insignia are on the top, alongside POST OFFICE.
