Windsor Royal Shopping is located opposite Windsor Castle in the grade II listed Victorian Railway Station, built in 1851 when the Great Western Railway arrived in Windsor. Many of the original features remain including Jubilee arch, the cobbled stones and Queen Victoria’s Royal waiting room. Parish Church of St John the Baptist and War Memorial, Windsor High Street
The present building dates from 1822 when it replaced an ancient building which had Saxon arches and Norman work. The present walls follow the plan of that mediaeval church. War Memorial outside Windsor Parish Church
The War Memorial in Windsor is situated next to the Parish Church of New Windsor, St John the Baptist, in the High Street. Panels list those who died in the First World War. Names of those who died in the Second World War are listed in the porch of the garrison church of Holy Trinity in Claremont Road.
