This pleasant park, seen from the Meadfield Road entrance, is close to the north eastern corner of Langley.

Bend in Meadfield Road, Langley
At its junction with Meadfield Avenue (left foreground), Meadfield Road swings sharply at right angles to head east towards the edge of Langley. At the same time, the motley collection of Edwardian style houses (see Image) gives way to more modern and uniform looking homes.

Railway at Langley
Seen from a passing train in the sidings at Langley are the Balfour Beatty-liveried class 20 locomotives No. 20142 and 20189. These will be used in connection with the forthcoming electrification of the Great Western Main Line.

Red brick houses, Meadfield Road, Langley
...or are they? The end wall at the far end is fronted with London stock bricks, as are the chimneys visible here, so presumably the pebble dashing at this end hides similar. The very clean red bricks, presumably merely a frontage, certainly stand out in this area on such a sunny day; perhaps that was the idea.

Field off Market Lane, Langley
This square is almost entirely taken up by fields which separate Langley from Richings Park. Despite this being green belt, repeated attempts have been made to develop this land for housing, thus far unsuccessful.
