Robert Taylor Library, Slough
A bit of a stand-out in Slough. Pevsner calls it "the most sophisticated building in the town centre, excellently fulfilling its purpose". It could perhaps be described as Brutalist-lite. A cube of concrete, Portland stone and tinted glass. Built 1973-74 to the designs of the County Architect, F.B. Pooley.
