Medieval village cross
A scheduled monument (now missing its cross), flanked by a bus shelter and an old (and now incorrect) signpost. Incorrect because the road is no longer the A34 and one of the fingers is pointing in the wrong direction up a track.

Old fingerpost with tapering pillar & halo finial with "CHESHIRE CC"; the arms look like modern replacements. As seen looking down Welsh Row.

Nether Alderley Cross
Wooden bus shelter and old-style signpost next to the mediæval village cross which survives on the Crossroads of Welsh Row and Congleton Road minus its head and most of the shaft. The cross has been designated as a Grade II listed structure by English Heritage (http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1216839 National Heritage List for England).

Annulus finial - 4 arms; Cheshire CC post by the former A34, in parish of Nether Alderley (Macclesfield District), next to cross base CHMA_NET on an island in the centre of the crossroads of Congleton Road, Welsh Row and Artists Lane.
