Goyt Mill, Marple
Cotton spinning mill with large engine house for a Carel (Belgium) engine. Shame it is without chimney. The rope race has apparently been converted to a climbing wall. This view well captures the large projecting engine house. It would appear this was designed to be enlarged to a double mill but, like several others, this was not executed.

Shepleys Bridge south of Marple, Stockport
Bridge No 4 across the Macclesfield Canal appears to be a former accommodation bridge for farm use. However, in 1905 the huge Goyt Mill was built on land to the right, and a golf course now covers the land to the left.
