Chadkirk Ford
This ford on the River Etherow is found just upstream from a substantial new footbridge forming part of the Alan Newton Way. A video of the ford can be seen at:

Chadkirk Bridge site and works
The delayed footbridge is further delayed (according to local source) by a nesting wagtail! Other submissions give the full story of its planning etc. A pic of the bridge in-situ is eagerly awaited.
