Reddish South railway station, Greater Manchester
Opened in 1859 by the London & North Western Railway on the line from Stockport to Stalybridge, the station once had two island platforms and four tracks.
View north east towards Denton and Stalybridge. At the time this image was taken, the station had become famous for having the least frequent train service in the UK- the ‘ghost train’- in one direction, once per week only.
