The Congregational Church, not very churchy in appearance as it was originally a Sunday School. Very colourful brick diapering. Early C20th - the date 1825 in the porch presumably refers to the original church, which was demolished.

The Crown Inn is a Grade II listed building along with Nos. 2 & 4 Vale Close on the right. Originally a row of cottages dating from 1737, the buildings were turned into a pub by Robinsons in 1929. It was refurbished in 2011. Image
