Albion Mills, Stockport
Founded in 1820 and enlarged in 1893, the Albion Mills are still in use for flour milling by Nelstrops. The unusual location close to the centre of Stockport results from the development of the mills alongside the terminal basin of the Stockport branch of the Ashton Canal. Little trace of the latter now remains.
