Stockport Viaduct at sunset
The sun has just set.
The viaduct is an iconic landmark of Stockport rising high above the town centre. Built in 1840 it still carries the modern railway into Manchester. Listed Grade II*.

Steps to Exchange Street
From the new footpath/cycle path leading from the train station to the bus station a set of steps leads down to Exchange Street. Workmen are still painting the railings so they are not open yet. On the left can be seen the new bridge that carries the pathway over the top of Daw Bank.
