Hallam Mill
Although now named Hallam Mill, this was built as Heaviley Mill in 1860 for Ephraim Hallam. The main mill is 5 storeys built in brick and has a truncated octagonal chimney. It was a spinning mill with 31,000 spindles in 1897. I couldn't see an external engine house and this suggests it may have been gear driven with an internal engine. Photographed across Hallam Park.
