Carved stone post by the A6, in parish of WHALEY BRIDGE (HIGH PEAK District), Buxton Road; near Crescent Drive, Bridgemont, near Chinley Turning, in tarmac path in front of stone wall, on West side of road. Whaley wedge, erected by the Manchester & Buxton turnpike trust in the 19th century.
