Footpath to Whaley Bridge
The route also incorporates part of the Midshires Way. The path has been diverted because of remedial works being undertaken around the Toddbrook Reservoir.

Toddbrook Reservoir
The reason for constructing the reservoir in 1831 was to supply water to the Peak Forest Canal; the reservoirs water is still used for this purpose as well as fishing, sailing and dog walking around the banks.
