Standing in the middle of the A6
It's on a marked path, and signs do warn of pedestrians crossing. However, having walked the path on either side of the road there is really no need to take this route other than to prove it does, just, exist. It's very overgrown, and leads from nowhere to nowhere.

Footpath in the middle of the A6
A little used footpath crosses this busy dual carriageway here and the crash barriers are arranged to provide a pedestrian refuge in the central reservation
