Small barn below Rushup Edge
In the distance is half of Eldon Hill, having been much quarried for limestone. Patches of snow remain on the north facing slope. The white gate is not really a gate; rather it marks the line of gas pipes.

Old Milepost by the former A625, north of Rushop Hall
Cast iron post by the A625, in parish of CHAPEL EN LE FRITH (HIGH PEAK District), Sheffield Road; North of Rushop Hall, 230m from Rushop Lane, on grass verge, on South side of road. Heart scroll iron casting, erected by the Sheffield & Chapel en le Frith turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : CHAPEL EN LE / FRITH / 2 MILES : : SHEFFIELD / 20 MILES / HATHERSAGE / 10 MILES / CASTLETON / 4 MILES : Grade II Listed. Milepost on the A625
20 miles to Sheffield, and 2 to Chapel-en-le-Frith.It also doubles up as a handy seat for a weary traveller, so I left it for the next walker.
