This is exactly the same view as Image, taken the following morning as the fog rose and turned into low cloud and drizzle.

Entrance to Tanpits Farm
North of New Mills, looking north; a hazy day. Perhaps the site of leather tanning pits; the tanning process required the use of a range of pits: soak pits to wash and soften the hides, lime pits to remove hair, tubs where the lime was neutralised and the skin plumped up ready for the tan pits where the skins were soaked in a tanning liquor.

The Pack Horse Inn, from the hillside behind
This is one of a series of panoramic shots taken from the hillside above the Pack Horse Inn. The Inn features in the foreground. This one is an in-camera panoramic stitch made with the camera in my Nexus 5X phone. The android camera application guides one through sweeping across the scene, presenting a series of target points into which a dot representing the current viewpoint is moved, which then captures a frame. The frames are then stitched by the software in the phone. The phone is held upright, so that the long edge of the camera is vertical, giving the maximum vertical resolution available.
