Whitle Man
I met this charming man in the hamlet of Whitle near New Mills. He owns the land in front of him and painstakingly built the drystone wall behind him. He is sitting on a historic artefact he discovered during the wall's construction. It has a basin carved into it and on the side the date "1587". Neither of us knew for sure what it is.
