Going up Fairfield Road (A6) out of Buxton
The building on the right was once an Off-licence; the rusty sign reads "Fairfield Dairy- Off Licence". Across the road is the Bulls Head hotel. 3 inches of snow last night in Buxton (18 Feb).

Buxton - railway bridges over Lightwood Road
The nearest bridge carries the ex-LNW lines from Hazel Grove into Buxton Station. The middle bridge carries the ex-MR freight-only line to Chinley via Peak Forest. The far bridge carries the ex-LNW freight-only line to Dowlow and Hindlow.
