Taylor Well
Drinking fountain in Spring Gardens by where it meets The Quadrant/Terrace Road. Donated to the town in 1886 by local solicitor Joseph Taylor, it was originally sited at the other end of Spring Gardens where it meets Bridge Street. In 1986 it was removed due to road building but later rebuilt in 2001 in its present situation, including a replica of the urn on top, the original of which had been damaged in the 1960s.

Former Grove Hotel
Former hotel on Terrace Road by its junction with Spring Gardens, dating originally from the late 18th Century, with the ornate ironwork added in 1883. It closed in 2013 with plans for conversion to apartments approved in May 2024. Grade II listed - see https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1257938?section=official-list-entry.
