Railway viaduct viewed from Fairfield Road, Buxton
The viaduct was on the old London & North Western Railway route to Ashbourne (which was a pre-Beeching closure to passengers, in 1954). The truncated line remains open for freight to serve lime works at Dowlow and the quarry at Hindlow.
