Overflow graveyard at Longnor
St Bartholomew's Church at Longnor dates from 1780. The nave and chancel have no separation. Longnor is a market town, not a village, but on a small scale. The churchyard is reminiscent of those in Edinburgh with the houses directly overlooking the graves. The whole appearance of the church and its approach, as well as the overflow graveyard to the north of Church Street seen here, is like something out of a Bronte novel.
