Departures at Stalybridge
The departures display outside Stalybridge station shows something unique. For the first time this century a passenger train will travel from Stalybridge to Stockport. A "parliamentary service" has run for many years on the line through Reddish South and Denton https://www.geograph.org.uk/snippet/3935 Since the 1990s it has run once a week but only from Stockport to Stalybridge. Now a new timetable Image has been introduced. A train will leave Stalybridge on Saturdays at 0846, calling at Guide Bridge, Denton and Reddish South, arriving in Stockport 0909. The return will leave Stockport at 0945 arriving in Stalybridge 1006. The first scheduled service on 26th May was cancelled due to a rail strike so the new service actually started on 2nd June.
