New-style Bollards
New-style bollards approaching the junction of Cross Road (aka Mottram Cutting) and Edge Lane at Roe Cross.

Mottram Cutting
Looking south east towards Mottram this is the A6018 as it passes through Mottram Cutting.
Known locally as 'Deep Cutting' the picture is taken from above on the narrow Old Road
which was the original route that took you up and over the top of the hill before the cutting was excavated.

This cobbled path leads from Old Road to Cross Road (known locally as the "Mottram Cutting") by the Roe Cross Inn.

The western side of Harrop Edge
Looking down towards Paddock Farm. Stockport Road and Tesco in Hattersley are both prominent down the slope. One day the new Mottram Bypass will cut across this view, though it has already been many years in discussion.

Not part of a golf course. The public footpath follows the wall to the right but doesn't take you over the top of the hill which is up to the left.
