Some railway architecture
There are two viaducts in Broadbottom. This one crosses Market Street and Gorsey Brow to the East of Broadbottom Station and carries the Manchester to Glossop and Hadfield line.

Gorsey Brow
This is Market Street, Broadbottom. The road to the left before the arches is Gorsey Brow. The arches are the start of the viaduct taking the Manchester to Glossop railway line over the valley of the River Etherow.

Although the front bushes have been cut back the whole place looks a lot less fresh than it did in 2008 Image A faded plaque on the door indicates that business was "Awarded Lottery funding" Image but it would appear that funding has run out as the nameplate below is unreadable.
