The building on the corner of King Edward Avenue and Stockport Road was Gee Cross Social Club in 2008 Image but had closed by 2009 Image It has only recently been converted into the beauty parlour "Lots More Style".

Backbower Lane
Off Stockport Road. There used to be a reservoir on the left but it was covered over many years ago to create Diamond Row Public Open Space. On the right behind the trees is Stonepit Reservoir now used for fishing.

Diamond Row Open Space
This green oasis is actually a covered reservoir. The reservoir was surrounded by a high wall. It was named Diamond Row after a group of cottages on Back Bower Lane which would have stood just to the left off this photograph. In the corner distance is the Big Tree Memorial - Image
