Railway Relic
A lot of work seems to have taken place clearing the embankment of the former Godley Junction to Apethorn Railway Line (now part of the Trans Pennine Trail and National Cycle Network Route #62). The work has revealed a number of relics in the shape of old telegraph posts.

It snowed in the morning and by lunchtime the roofs of these houses on Garside Street and Brooks Avenue were covered. By late afternoon the snow had turned rain but in the distance by the Hare & Hounds on Werneth Low the ground was still covered in snow.
