Former Cheetham Fold Post Office
The many years the shop on Cheetham Fold Road opposite the bottom of Knott Lane was Grocer Jack's Image and until 2009 incorporated a sub post office. It closed in 2014 and re-opened under the lite/express Image but closed in 2015 Image It has now re-opened as a "best-one" franchise.

Aqua Nurture
The Apethorn on Knott Lane was built around 1963 and was originally a Bass Charrington house. It closed in 2015 and has now being converted into "Aqua Nurture" http://aquanurture.co.uk/ which provides baby, toddler and children's swimming classes under the Puddle Ducks franchise http://www.puddleducks.com/
