Flowery Field Gargoyle
Grotesques are carvings of a face (or body and face) of an animal or creature on the side of a building. Ones that incorporate drainage spouts are termed gargoyles. This one is on the tower of Flowery Field Church.

Flowery Field Church
Flowery Field Church, viewed here from Newton Street, was constructed between 1876 and 1878. The building is in the Perpendicular or Tudor Gothic style of architecture and is cruciform in shape. The connected tower rises 81 feet above street level.
Like nearby Hyde Chapel Image], Flowery Field Church is an independent non-denominational Church affiliated to the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches.
