Newton Hall Excavations 2012
A section of the 2012 archaeological dig at Newton Hall. Behind the excavations is the camping ground for Colonel Edward Montagu's Regiment of Foote http://montagus-regiment.org.uk/ who were there for two days demonstrating life during the English Civil War. Further beyond are modern industrial units.

Furnace Street
An 8 acre brownfield development site. The Alma Works on Furnace Street was formerly used by Burmah Castrol for the processing and storage of oils. The site ceased operation in 2007 and formally closed in 2009. Now like similar sites it is being filled with housing.
