Ken Ward Sports Centre, Hattersley
This excellent facility caters for many sports and leisure activities. It is named after local Hattersley man Ken Ward who almost 50 years ago was responsible for the setting up and running boys football teams for all age groups. Hattersley
The Hattersley estate was constructed in the early 1960s. In recent years a major renovation of the area as been undertaken, this has improved the area significantly. The Centurion public house once stood on this plot it was demolished in around 1999.
