Notice on the sign to the Woodland Walk
A public information notice dated March 2015 on the sign to the Woodland Walk states "Please note that the setting of any traps in greenspaces owned or managed by Tameside Council is not permitted. The causing of unnecessary suffering to wild animals is a breach of the Animal Welfare Act 2006." Anyone with information about the illegal setting of traps in Hyde Park is requested to call the Council.

Hyde Park was opened on May 21st 1904 having been given to Hyde Corporation by the Ashton family. To the right of the information board is a wooden carving Image Further right is a sign to the Woodland Walk Image which has a notice about illegal traps.

Memorial to Nicola and Fiona
A memorial garden outside Hyde Police Station Image dedicated to the memory of Nicola Hughes and Fiona Bone who lost their lives on the 18th September 2012. The garden was opened on 13th December 2012.
