As the old signage on the gable end behind the advertising hoarding attests, this used to be a branch of Cartridge World. Now it is home to "Bee the Best" who host a variety of children's parties usually involving various kinds of craft activity.

Deserted on a Sunday afternoon but usually busy with parked vehicles. A scrapyard for cars is at the end of the street. Edward Street is one of many Hyde streets split in two halves, their middles destroyed, by the building of the M67 motorway.

In 2010 Image this group of shops comprised Peters Beds, Hyde Domestics and Big Bite Pizza. By 2012 Image Big Bite Pizza had changed to the Hyde Kebab House (although the shop seemed to be boarded up rather than shuttered) and Hyde Domestics had been replaced by a tattoo and piercing parlour called "To The Point". By 2015 Image Peters Beds had relocated but it appeared some stock was still being stored there. The former Hyde Kebab House still looked closed. The tattoo parlour had been taken over by Beak and Claw Pets & Aquatics. In February 2016 Image a sign on the former kebab shop said "New Cafe Opening Soon" while Beak and Claw is permanently shuttered. Now in September 2016 the sign about a new cafe opening has gone and Beak and Claw have also moved out of the shop although I understand they are still operating from a unit in the nearby Adamson Industrial Estate.

The Red Lion at the junction of Clark Way and Manchester Road is closed. Work has been carried out which suggests it won't ever reopen as a pub but is likely to be used as retail premises or offices. The building on the corner of Manchester Road and Clark Way was originally the Red Lion Image which closed in 2009 Image In January 2010 it was converted into office/retail premises Image It recently opened as the office and showroom of the firm "Plastic Fantastic".
