Bush Inn closed
The recently closed Bush Inn on the corner of Haughton Street and Market Street. The Bush opened in 1840 and was virtually a country pub which was surrounded by farmland, most of it belonging to the Shepley Family. I understand the land will be used by the adjacent car dealers Stoneacre Group as an extended car park. On the left is the former rubber works, now Redfern Industrial Estate, its roof festooned with mobile phone masts.

Bradbury Street
Until 2018 an industrial building occupied the space beyond the terraced houses on the right Image It was connected two storeys up to the building on Dawson Street by a covered bridge. That has now been demolished to provide extra parking for the Stoneacre motor group.
