As well as the traditional sign hanging from a pole, the pub also has this sign on a board attached to the property's Queen Street frontage.

The pub derives its name from the cotton industry, which for a long time was the major employer in this area. The pub has had this name for at least 176 years.

The Spinners Arms, Hadfield
The name is a reference to the cotton industry which dominated Glossopdale throughout the 19th and early 20th century.
It was a Boddingtons tied house.
