Mettrick's Butchers Shop, Station Road, Hadfield. Better known to fans of BBC's comedy series "The League of Gentlemen" as Hilary Briss's shop selling that "special stuff". You MUST try the home made sausages they are "to die for".

The new Post Office
The post office in Hadfield has now moved to Nisa Store on Station Road. It opened about a month before this photograph was taken. Mettrick's butchers shop can be seen on the right in the foreground, this has now closed down. The butchers was made famous as the location of Hilary Briss's butchers shop in The League Of Gentlemen.
